Get the Most From Your CoolPeel Fusion Treatment

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks before your appointment, and wear a broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.

Stop retinols and other products that may dry out your skin 2-7 days before treatment, as directed by your provider.

Discontinue all exfoliating products (scrubs, glycolic/salicylic acids, at-home peels) 1 week before treatment.

Avoid aspirin and blood-thinning supplements for 7 days prior, or as directed by your provider.

You must be off Accutane for at least 3 months (or as directed by your provider).

If you have a history of cold sores, let us know — we'll have you start an antiviral medication before your treatment.

If you're prone to hyperpigmentation, your provider may recommend pre-treating with a melanin-suppressing (brightening) agent twice daily for 2 weeks before your visit.

Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, lotion, or sunscreen on the treatment area.

You may feel a warm, sunburn-like sensation for 2–4 hours after treatment. Mild redness and swelling are normal for 1–3 days.

Use a cool misting spray or a clean, cool compress (never ice) to ease the feeling of heat.

Once the heat sensation fades, apply a light, alcohol-free, cream-based or hyaluronic acid moisturizer. Reapply every 3–4 hours to keep skin hydrated while it heals.

For the first 24 hours, use only the moisturizer recommended by your provider — no other products. If anything stings for more than a few minutes, gently wash it off and let us know.

Your skin may feel like fine sandpaper for about 4–7 days. This is a normal part of healing — do not exfoliate, scrub, or pick to remove the texture.

Cleanse morning and night with a mild cleanser, blot dry gently — no rubbing.

After 24 hours, protect your skin daily with a mineral (zinc/titanium-based) sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure.
